Before trying to locate and remove your filter it is important that your machine is disabled.

The quickest way to clean out your filter is to remove it from the unit and soak it in hot water loosening any clog or trapped residue. I ve tried wd40 then i thought strong white vinegar squirted in would dissipate any calcium deposits. Wash any dirt or other material from the filter.

This was our second time that we had a issue with the filter cap in less than a year not to mention how hard it was to get the original cap on and off.
